To anyone who's used the popular dating app, its fairly common to see people who embellish their lives to come across as a bit more interesting than they actually are.
But what happens when you get conned by someone pretending to be a private-jet-setting billionaire mogul? In their latest foray into the true crime mystery genre, Netflix are on the dating scene.
The official synopsis of the show reads: "Swipe, swipe, swipe… It’s not easy to find love online. So when Cecilie matches with a handsome billionaire playboy, she can’t quite believe it when he turns out to be the man of her dreams. But dreams aren't reality. And by the time she discovers this international businessman isn’t who he says he is, it’s too late."
The documentary follows Cecilie and other woman tricked by the mysterious mogul who team up to pursue justice. They aim to reveal the identity of the man that conned them out of millions.
'The Tinder Swindler' is brought to us by the same producers from on 'The Imposter' and Netflix's popular documentary from 2019, 'Don'y F*ck With Cats'.
