Netflix has found the actress who will play Princess Diana in seasons 5 and 6 of Netflix series 'The Crown'.
Just last week it was announced that the streaming service will be debuting 'Diana', a Broadway musical which is based on the late Princess of Wales.
Netflix also recently announced that Jonathon Pryce will play Prince Philip for seasons five and six of 'The Crown'.
Pryce joins Imelda Staunton will play the Queen and Lesley Manville who will play Princess Margaret for the final seasons of the series.
For season three and the upcoming season four, Olivia Colman plays Queen Elizabeth, Tobias Menzies plays Prince Philip, and Helena Bonham Carter plays Princess Margaret.
Season four sees Princess Diana join the cast. She will be played initially by Emma Corrin.
Elizabeth Debicki takes over the role for seasons five and six.
Debicki stars in the upcoming Christopher Nolan movie 'Tenet'.
She played Jordan Baker in Baz Luhrmann's 'The Great Gatsby' and starred in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.'
Other recent credits of the actress include 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.', 'Widows', 'Peter Rabbit' and 'Vita & Virginia'.
“Princess Diana’s spirit, her words and her actions live in the hearts of so many,” Debicki said in a statement. “It is my true privilege and honour to be joining this masterful series, which has had me absolutely hooked from Episode One.”
The fourth season of 'The Crown' has wrapped filming. It is scheduled to be released in late 2020. The fifth season will be released in 2022.
