The Netflix follow-up to 'The Stranger' arrives later this month.
Arriving just in time for a thrilling New Year's Eve is 'Stay Close' on Netflix.
The eight-episode series is the newest Harlan Coben entry on the streaming service and stars James Nesbitt as a police detective who remains attached to a case that went cold many years ago; meanwhile Cush Jumbo plays a mother and wife who hides a dark secret from her past which comes to the surface after the appearance of her old friend, played by Sarah Parish.
Richard Armitage, who also starred in Coben's 'The Stranger', will play the role of a photographer, who also - yep you guessed it - holds a dark secret.
Rounding out the main cast are Eddie Izzard, Jo Joyner, Daniel Francis, Bethany Antonia, Rachel Andrews, Poppy Gilbert, Hyoie O’Grady, Andi Osho and Youssef Kerkour.
Harlan Coben's 'The Stranger' proved to be a successful crime thriller upon its release in January of 2020, which was based on the novel of the same name. Dervla Kirwan from RTÉ's 'Smother' was one of the main cast members.
Here's the official synopsis for the new series:

Four people each conceal dark secrets from those closest to them; Megan (Cush Jumbo) a working mother of three, Ray (Richard Armitage), a once-promising documentary photographer, Broome (James Nesbitt) a detective unable to let go of a missing person’s cold case, and Lorraine (Sarah Parish), an old friend of Megan's.
