The new anthology series comes from the creator of Amazon Prime original 'Hunters', David Weil.
An all-star cast has been recruited for a new anthology series, 'Solos', which set to explore the deeper meaning of human connection. Given how popular Amazon Prime's 'Modern Love' proved with viewers, with Tina Fey, Andrew Scott, Dev Patel, and Anne Hathaway, we reckon this will be another big hit for the streamer.
Hathaway thinks that too it seems, as she's also joined the cast for this series. Joining in will also be Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, Anthony Mackie, Dan Stevens, Constance Wu, Uzo Aduba, and Nicole Beharie.
'Solos' is billed as a new dramatic anthology series from creator David Weil. Speaking on his excitement of the project, Weil said: "I am beyond thrilled to be bringing 'Solos' to life alongside this group of artists who I so deeply admire.
"I created this piece with a desire to capture stories about connection, hope and the search for that common hum of humanity that binds us all. I’m immensely grateful to Jennifer Salke and my incredible partners at Amazon for their unwavering support and collaboration on this special project."
Weil will make his directorial debut on the series, alongside Zach Braff ('Scrubs'), Sam Taylor-Johnson ('Fifty Shades of Grey'), and Tiffany Johnson ('Dead White People').
Here's a synopsis for the anthology series:
'Solos' is a dramatic and thought-provoking seven-part anthology series that explores the deeper meaning of human connection, as explored through the lens of the individual. It will tell unique character-driven stories, each from a different perspective and moment in time, that illuminate that even during our most seemingly isolated moments, in the most disparate of circumstances, we are all connected through the human experience.
Expect a trailer and more details on the project later this year.
