The darkly comedic drama series from Sharon Horgan will be back for more sisterly antics on Apple TV+.

The five 'Bad Sisters' will return with more devilish scheming in season two.

The Sharon Horgan creation, which follows the Garvey sisters as they try to off one of their prickish in-laws, has proven to be a huge success for Apple TV+ since its debut on screens back in August. The series has been getting rave reviews from viewers and critics, and also holds an impressive 100% Rotten Tomatoes review score.

Horgan said of the series renewal: "If you’d have told me three years ago that I’d be making a series about five murderous sisters chasing a man around Ireland trying to kill him I’d have said; yeah, that sounds about right.

"The response to our show had been beyond what we could have hoped for. It gave us the opportunity to shine a light on stories that don’t always get such a global platform. I look forward to getting chilly in the Irish Sea one more time."

Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene and Eve Hewson star as Horgan's siblings in the dramedy, with Claes Bang playing one of the most hated beings we've seen on the screen this year, John Paul. Grace's husband is set up as the series' main antagonist with his egotistical ways and incessant pushing of his in-laws' buttons, but Brian Gleeson and Daryl McCormack also played a pair of insurance agents hell-bent on getting to the bottom of John Paul's death. Assaad Bouab was also part of the cast as Gabriel, Eva and John Paul's colleague.

The season finale, which aired on October 14, finally saw how the whole escapade unfolded and how John Paul met his bitter end. Who will be under their watchful eyes for season two?

'Bad Sisters' is based on an original Flemish series, 'Clan', which ran for one season. Following her departure from Amazon, Horgan signed a first-look deal with Apple which will see the streamer get first dibs on her latest productions.
