Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford's production company Merman has revealed a first look picture at the Irish comedy/thriller.
Better put 'Bad Sisters' on your list "to watch", because it's sure to be a much-talked-about series set to hit our screens later this year.
With Emmy Award-nominee and BAFTA Award-winning star and creator Sharon Horgan ('Catastrophe', 'This Way Up') on hand as co-star of the series, she'll be joined by a number of other well-known Irish actors who will play her on-screen siblings.
Sarah Greene ('Dublin Murders', 'Normal People'), Eve Hewson ('Behind Her Eyes', 'The Luminaries'), Anne-Marie Duff ('Suffragette', 'The Salisbury Poisonings') and Eva Birthistle ('Brooklyn', 'The Last Kingdom') will star as the Garvey sisters who are "bound together by the premature death of their parents and a promise to always protect one another".
The supporting cast also includes Brian Gleeson ('Frank of Ireland', 'Peaky Blinders'), Claes Bang ('Dracula', 'The Northman'), Daryl McCormack ('Pixie', 'The Wheel Of Time'), Assaad Bouab ('Call My Agent', 'Inventing Anna') and newcomer Saise Quinn ('Arracht', 'Monster').
'Bad Sisters' will be the first series concocted by Sharon Horgan in partnership with Apple TV+, following a first-look deal between the streamer and her Merman production company.
No release date has been set for the 10-episode series, so be sure to look out for more details later this year.
Apple TV+ have been heavily investing in quality talent both in front and behind the camera for their upcoming TV series and movies, with Horgan's comedy/thriller just one eagerly anticipated offering. The female-led 'ROAR' hits the streamer this April, an anthology series from 'GLOW' showrunners starring Nicola Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Alison Brie and more; while 'Cha Cha Real Smooth', 'Luck', 'Raymond & Ray', 'Killers Of The Flower Moon' and 'Spirited' are some of the big movies hitting the service this year.
