The return of the hotly-anticipated Netflix series is only three mere months away.
Just in time for when students will be heading back to school, Netflix has today confirmed that 'Sex Education' season three will be on our screen this September.
The next entry in the comedy/drama series was delayed this past year, but luckily we won't have to wait too much longer 'til we see what teenage escapades the band of characters get up to in the new season. There will be eight new episodes.
Here's a look at some shots from the series, as well as some new faces who will be joining the cast this time around. Netflix also released some behind the scenes pictures too.
From what we know so far, Moordale Secondary School will have a new principal who seems to implement a stricter dress code for the students. Jemima Kirke will play the new headmistress, Hope. You'll remember at the end of season two, Mr Groff was put on indefinite leave, and he'll be shacked up with his on-screen brother Peter - played by Jason Isaacs.
Another new cast member Dua Saleh is joining 'Sex Eduation' season three, as a nonbinary student who doesn't get along with the new principal's ideas.
The most pressing question we have after seeing these pictures is - where's Gillian Anderson? Chances are that Netflix isn't releasing any pictures of her character Jean yet, as the last time we saw her, she had just found out she was pregnant.
The series will also see the return of season one and two cast members Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee Lou Wood, Connor Swindells, Patricia Allison, Sami Outalbali, and Kedar Williams-Stirling.
'Sex Education' season three lands on Netflix Friday, September 17.
