You might already be familiar with the British miniseries on which this new Sandra Bullock Netflix drama is based. 'Unforgiven' was a 2009 series written by Sally Wainwright for ITV. Starring Suranne Jones ('Vigil'), the three-parter was quite successful with audiences, and a film adaptation process began as far back as 2010. Angelina Jolie was originally being considered for the role before it eventually fell to Bullock.
Bullock also acted as a producer on the film, which is directed by German filmmaker Nora Fingscheidt.
