Limited documentary series 'Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer' arrived on Netflix today. If you love true crime, this is one you won't want to miss.
'Night Stalker' relates the true story of how Richard Ramirez, one of the most notorious serial killers in American history, was hunted down and brought to justice.
Ramirez's crime spree ran for just over a year, until his arrest in August 1985.
What was unusual about him was the array of his crimes and victims.
He targeted men, women and children, from children to the elderly, across different racial backgrounds and socioeconomic levels, in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
He also used a vast range of weapons, and claimed to be a Satanist.
It was thanks to a young detective named Gil Carrillo and the legendary homicide investigator Frank Salerno that he was captured.
The story of the "Night Stalker" is told across four episodes, with first-person interviews, archival footage and original photography featuring across the series.
It is directed by Tiller Russell and executive produced by Russell, Tim Walsh, Eli Holzman, and Aaron Saidman.
