As our concentration (thankfully) shifts towards the cinema screens this summer, there's still a pretty strong agenda for those who want to keep it to the comfort of their sofas.

'Fear Street' Trilogy | July 2, July 9, July 16

Netflix has created on very horrifying event for this summer, with the release of R. L. Stein's 'Fear Street' slasher collection. Released over three weeks, and set in three different time periods, find out the origin story of why the town of Shadyside constantly seems to be overrun with mad killers.

'Atypical' Season 4 | July 9

Season four of the critically-acclaimed series is back on Netflix this month. In the newest season, autistic 18-year-old Sam and his sister Casey are both about to fly the coop and leave their homes for the first time. There are lots of big decisions on the way for every member of the Gardner family.

'Never Have I Ever' Season 2 | July 15

Inspired by the life of Mindy Kaling, season two of this other critically-acclaimed young adult series sees the return of Devi, who is stuck in between choosing her two love interests, Ben and Paxton. Meanwhile, the introduction of a new girl at school proves to be a lot for the teenager to handle.

'Sexy Beasts' | July 21

What could be better than a wholesome dating show? Set to turn the concept of a reality dating series on its head, 'Sexy Beasts' will see potential romances don over the top prosthetics in order for their personalities to really shine through. Superficial dating is well and truly over, so it's time for all of these animals (and aliens and devils and everything else) to show their true colours.

'Masters of the Universe: Revelation' Part 1 | July 23

He-Man and Skeletor are back for a revamped and totally kick-ass new TV seres. Featuring the voices of Mark Hamill, Lena Headey, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Liam Cunningham, Alicia Silverstone and many more, this is one for those of us who grew up knowing everything about the 'Masters of the Universe', and newbies who love themselves some animation action.

'Golden Girls' | Available now

Not "new" necessarily, but certainly one we're delighted to see on our screens. All seven seasons of the sitcom following Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia land on Star on Disney+ this month, highlighting the importance of friendship - and the hilarious ups and downs of living with your besties (and your mother).

'Black Widow' | July 9

A movie a very long time coming, we finally have the release of the first theatrical entry in Marvel's Phase Four in their Cinematic Universe. Natasha Romanoff takes centre stage in the first female-led action blockbuster, which sees Scarlett Johansson team up with Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, and David Harbour in order to take down those ever-respawning bad guys. Available with Premiere Access for €21.99.

'Turner & Hooch' | July 21

A sequel series to the 1989 classic with Tom Hanks, 'Turner & Hooch' sees Josh Peck take on the role of US Marshal Scott Turner, the son of the original Detective Scott Turner. Along the same lines as the original movie, he inherits a big unruly dog and soon realises the dog he didn’t want may be the partner he needs.

'Jungle Cruise' | July 30

Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson team up for a rollercoaster adventure movie set in the Amazon jungle, inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride of the same name. Lily is on a mission to find an ancient tree hidden deep within the jungle which is believed to have healing properties, and she enlists the help of Frank and his charming boat La Quila in order to do so. 'The Tomorrow War' | Available now

Join Chris Pratt, J.K. Simmons, and Yvonne Strahovski as they battle it out in a sci-fi war set 30 years in the future. When the world is overrun with a deadly alien species in 2051, time-travellers visit the present time in order to enlist soldiers to fight in this war in order to save the world. Non-stop action and alien guts all-round in this one.

'Making The Cut' Season 2 | July 16

One for all of the fashionistas out there, 'Making The Cut' is back for a second season run with hosts Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. The eight new episodes of the will see 10 visionary designers and entrepreneurs compete to win $1 million to invest in their business, all culminating in a grand finale with an epic runway show on August 6, 2021.

'Jolt' | July 23

It's Kate Beckinsale back in an action film! This darkly comedic action-thriller centres on Lindy, who is a woman struggling to manage a lifelong, rare neurological disorder that causes her to react violently to anyone she witnesses being cruel, deceitful or abusive. After finally falling in love, and quickly out of it again, she is on a mission to hunt down the killer who took the only person she loved away from her. Stanley Tucci, Laverne Cox, Jai Courtney and Bobby Cannavale also star.

'Schmigadoon!' | July 16

Lovers of 'Saturday Night Live' should get a kick out of this one. 'Schmigadoon' stars Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key as a couple who, after embarking on a backpacking trip, end up discovering a weird and magical town in which everyone is living in a studio musical from the 1940s. Musicals and comedy ensues, with plenty of recognisable comics and actors showing up along the way.

'Ted Lasso' Season 2 | July 23

The award-winning Apple TV+ series is making a comeback this month, which sees Jason Sudeikis play a US guy who knows nothing about football - but he's been hired to coach a professional team. More relatable than you might think, the series is all about faking it 'til you make it - and with Sudeikis on board, you'll be laughing along the way too.

'Finding You' | July 10

Warning: another cheesy movie with American actors heading over to Ireland is inbound. Based on the book 'There You'll Find Me' by Jenny B. Jones, 'Finding You' is sure to feature a whistle-stop tour of Ireland, with plenty of traditional Irish music, and its all set to the backdrop of a romance between our two leading actors. Katherine McNamara, Jedidiah Goodacre, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson from 'Derry Girls' star.

'Mr. Mayor' | July 26

Ted Danson from 'Cheers' and 'The Good Place' leads the cast in Tina Fey's brand new sitcom. Danson stars as Neil Bremer, a retired man who decides to run for Mayor of Los Angeles in order to win over his daughter's respect. Although the series didn't exactly break the mould in terms of comedy, it's been renewed for a second series so we're hoping it returns with a bigger bang in the future.
