The streets of Birmingham will once again echo with the footsteps of the Shelby family as Netflix confirms the highly anticipated 'Peaky Blinders' movie.

The show, starring Cillian Murphy as gangster and businessman Tommy Shelby, finished up in 2022 after six seasons.  Fans of the gritty series can rejoice as the movie promises to be a continuation of the Shelby saga, with plot details shrouded in mystery.

Since its inception in 2013, 'Peaky Blinders' has captivated audiences. The show’s blend of historical accuracy and dramatic fiction has earned it a dedicated following and critical acclaim, culminating in a BAFTA award for Best Drama.

The movie, written by series creator Steven Knight and directed by Tom Harper, is set to begin production later this year. While the specifics of the plot remain under wraps, Knight has hinted at a World War II setting, promising an "explosive chapter in the 'Peaky Blinders' story" and a "full-on 'Peaky Blinders' at war" experience.

Cillian Murphy expressed his excitement about reprising the role, stating, "It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me… This is one for the fans."

As the 'Peaky Blinders' movie gears up for production, fans are left to ponder the fate of the Shelby family. Will Tommy Shelby’s cunning and ambition lead them to new heights, or will the shadows of their past finally catch up to them? One thing is certain: the streets of Birmingham will never be the same again.
