In a statement released late last night, streaming giant Netflix has now officially severed all ties with Kevin Spacey in the wake of growing allegations of sexual harassment, one of which includes a physical relationship with a 14-year old male when Spacey was 24.

The statement, delivered to media, confirmed that "Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey. We will continue to work with MRC during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show."

Netflix also dropped his upcoming Gore Vidal biopic, which was due to enter production in the coming months. On top of this, further allegations of harassment has come forward about Spacey, specifically on the set of House Of Cards. A group of staffers spoke to CNN and detailed graphic incidents with Spacey, and described the set environment as "toxic."

The fate of House Of Cards' sixth season now remains uncertain, with talk that he's to be completely written out of the series altogether - or that the sixth season in its totality will be cancelled. Netflix, for their part, have yet to confirm its status other than production has been suspended indefinitely.

Netflix aren't the only ones to get cold feet when it comes to anything even remotely related to Kevin Spacey. All The Money In The World, which stars Spacey in the lead role of J. Paul Getty, has had its Oscar campaign for Spacey quietly axed earlier this week. The film is slated for release in the US on December 22nd of this year.
