Marvel's The Punisher is one of the most anticipated shows still to come in 2017 and the spin-off series has finally been given a release date.
You can catch The Punisher in action when the series premieres globally on November 17th on Netflix, with the streaming service also releasing a new trailer:
For those that need catching up, The Punisher first appeared in the second season of Daredevil. He didn't make it into The Defenders series along with his other superhero neighbours of Hell's Kitchen but we doubt Frank Castle was too bothered.
He's also much more of an anti-hero than that lot and as those that have read the comic books or even just seen him in Daredevil will know, Frank Castle does what Frank Castle wants.
This series sees Frank continue on his revenge mission to kill all those responsible for the deaths of his wife and son but along the way uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld.
Jon Bernthal stars as The Punisher, while the series will also feature Daredevil's Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) as well as Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls, The Lake House), Ben Barnes (Westworld, The Chronicles of Narnia) and Amber Rose Revah (Emerald City, Indian Summers).
For those interested on who is behind the scenes on The Punisher, it's executive produced by showrunner Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal), Jim Chory and Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel's Jessica Jones, Marvel's Luke Cage), while Loeb also serves as Marvel's Head of Television.
