The "Are you still watching?" pop-up on Netflix may soon become a thing of the past, much to the relief of binge watchers everywhere.
It's probably one of the most annoying things about Netflix.
There you are several episodes into a series, indulging in your status as a complete couch potato, snacking while consuming an addictive new show or comforting classic.
You can't even be bothered to touch the remote, you're completely relaxed.
And then the streaming service has to go and make you feel bad about how long you've seen watching TV.
Yes Netflix, I am still watching, quit patronising me. Just shurrup and let me get on with my show.
In recent weeks, a number of Netflix subscribers across the globe have taken to social media platforms like Twitter and Tiktok to praise a new "play without asking again" option.
It appears to be the case that now, below the "Are you still watching X?" pop-up, you can choose "Ask again later", "I'm done" (lol to that one) or "Play without asking again." Hallelujah!
omg netflix added a "play without asking again" option to when they ask if you're still watching

A Netflix spokesperson confirmed to The Verge that the feature is still in testing mode.
Here's hoping they run the feature out permanently soon because we could all benefit from a little less shame when it comes to binge watching.
