With 'No Time To Die' kicked forward until 2021, director Cary Fukunaga isn't bothering to hang around for his next gig.
It's been confirmed that his first post-'No Time To Die' directing credit will be Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks' latest World War II drama series, 'Masters of the Air'. Like 'Band of Brothers', the miniseries is based on a historical book of the same name, this time focusing on the 100th Bombardment Group of the Eighth Air Force.
The series will reportedly cost in the region of $200 million, with nine episodes planned and Fukunaga directing the first three episodes. Casting hasn't been announced as of yet, but given the wealth of pre-fame talent 'Band of Brothers' and 'The Pacific' had , don't be surprised if you don't recognise any of the names when they're eventually announced.
Names like Rami Malek, Tom Hardy, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender all had roles in 'Band of Brothers' and 'The Pacific', so expect the same sharp eye for casting for 'Masters of the Air'.
Production is due to begin in March of next year, with 'No Time To Die' expected to hit cinemas a month later on April 2nd.
