The former Oasis frontman will release a feature-length documentary as well as a full concert experience on Paramount+ next month.
We have never associated Liam Gallagher with the festive season before, but that could all be about to change this year he's got an early Christmas gift for all of his fans out there.
'Liam Gallagher: Knebworth 22' will see the rock star return to the famed concert venue, an event that took place in June of this year. It had been a huge 26 years since his historic 1996 shows alongside his brother Noel when they performed together as the world-famous band Oasis.
Performing to 170,000 fans across two sold-out nights, the event coincided with the release of Gallagher’s third solo album, 'C’mon You Know', which became his third number-one studio album. The documentary will include all-new interviews with Gallagher, plenty of behind-the-scenes concert footage captured from multiple camera angles, and stories from fans and collaborators of the man from around the world.
"I’m still in shock that I got to play Knebworth two nights, 26 years after I played it with Oasis. I’m still trying to get my head around it," said Liam Gallagher. "To have played to multiple generations at the same venue so many years apart was beyond biblical. I’m so glad that we documented it; Knebworth for me was, and always will be, a celebration of the fans as well as the music. Enjoy the film and let’s do it again in another 26 years."
Both 'Liam Gallagher: Knebworth 22' and 'Liam Gallagher Live: Knebworth 22' will be released on Paramount+ on Wednesday, December 7. The documentary film will be released in select cinemas from tomorrow, November 17.
