Netflix's collection of Marvel TV series were, on the whole, a beloved addition to the streaming service, offering up a glimpse of some of the lesser-known superheroes from the Marvel Comics.
While there were heavy-hitters such as 'Daredevil', 'Iron Fist', 'The Punisher' and 'Luke Cage', which were geared more towards the action side of the Marvel Universe, there was also a heavy-handed private detective who brought more of a crime/mystery element into the fold. Played by actor Krysten Ritter, 'Jessica Jones' was quite a popular series that lasted for three seasons before being culled.
Ritter's take on the character has long been praised by fans of the stone-like vigilante detective, and although the three seasons varied in quality (as did all of the Marvel Netflix series, to be fair), season one was certainly the most intriguing of the trilogy; thanks in part to David Tennant's sadistic villain, Purple Man/Killgrave.
Years on from the series cancellation, would the star return as the titular superhero? It's a resounding yes.
Speaking with Screen Rant during the promotion of her new Netflix release 'Nnightbooks', the actor said if she was asked back to appear somewhere in the MCU, she will "be there in a flash". She said: "I would absolutely just die to play Jessica again. I had the best time doing it and I just love her so much.
"I'm so proud of that character. Not only because it was like a great role and she's such a bad-ass, but that character has really resonated with people in a way that I don't know who else has. Really, really resonated with women and girls, trauma survivors. It's just so, so big and such a thing I'm so grateful to have been a part of.
"So if there's ever an opportunity for me to put on those boots, I will be there in a flash."
You can catch Krysten Ritter in Netflix's new Halloween release 'Nightbooks', available to stream now.
