Surprisingly, this is the first time that the actors will star in a movie together.
Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg are set to star in the next big Netflix comedy movie. 'Me Time' will see the actors team up for a weekend of partying that is probably about to get very out of hand.
According to reports, Kevin will play a stay-at-home dad who has a weekend all to himself. With his wife and kids away, he gets in touch with his former best friend, who ensures that the pair of them have a wild weekend they won't forget in a hurry.
The film is part of Kevin Hart's HartBeat Production, which sees his production company locked in a multiyear film pact with the streamer. 'Me Time' is part of the actor's four feature films set to be released as part of the deal. The movie is written and directed by John Hamburg, who worked with Kevin Hart on his 2018 comedy movie 'Night School'.
As well as his Netflix original stand-up collections, Kevin played the lead role in his first Netflix Original film 'Fatherhood'. The film was released earlier this year to generally positive reviews.
'Me Time' will also see Mark Wahlberg continue his close ties to Netflix. Following the success of 'Spenser Confidential' last year (which was awful, but Netflix viewers still ate it up - 85 million views over its first month to be exact), we're sure the streamer is hoping for another sure-fire hit with this one.
Upcoming projects for both actors sees them tackle the video game industry. Kevin Hart will next appear in the 'Borderlands' live-action film; while Mark Wahlberg will join Tom Holland in 'Uncharted'.
