One of Amazon Prime's most decadent TV series has added yet another stellar cast member into the mix.
Kelly Bishop has been added to 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' season four, making us even more excited to see which direction the newest season of the comedy/drama takes.
Bishop will be most well-known for her role as Lorelai's straight-talking mother, Emily, in 'Gilmore Girls', but the 77-year-old has also starred in 'Dirty Dancing' and Ryan Murphy's most recent Netflix offering 'Halston'. Normally portraying quite a force to be reckoned with, we presume that it'll be another scene-stealing role for the seasoned actor in 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' season four.
See for yourself in the brief teaser the official Twitter account for the series sent out to fans this week.
According to sources, the nature of her role in the award-winning series is currently being kept under wraps. However, she will appear as a "guest star". Her involvement in the production will see her team up once again with co-creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, who all previously together worked on 'Gilmore Girls' and the sitcom 'Bunheads'.
Kelly Bishop joins the ever-expanding 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' season four cast, which also includes another 'Gilmore Girls' star Milo Ventimiglia. John Waters has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role, as well as Jackie Hoffman and Allison Guinn.
The new cast will join returning stars Rachel Brosnahan as Midge, Alex Borstein as Susie Myerson, Tony Shalhoub as Abe Weissman, Marin Hinkle as Rose Weissman, Kevin Pollak as Moise Maisel, Caroline Aaron as Shirley Maisel, and Luke Kirby as Lenny Bruce.
The end of season three ended on a bum note, with Midge and Susie watching Shy Baldwin's (Leroy McClain) private jet take off without them, following Midge's accidental outing of him. Season four is expected to begin with a continuation of this storyline, followed by a rumoured time jump in the later episodes.
Filming of the upcoming season is currently underway in New York City, with a release date set for - potentially - December this year.
The first three seasons of 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' can be viewed on Amazon Prime.
