'Jupiter's Legacy' has been cancelled at Netflix after just one season.
'Jupiter's Legacy' was written by Mark Millar and first published as a comic book series in 2013.
Millar is also known for the comics 'The Ultimates', 'Civil War', 'Superman: Red Son' and 'Wolverine: Old Man Logan'. He also wrote 'Wanted', 'Kick-Ass' and 'Kingsman: The Secret Service'.
The comic book writer sold his Millarworld company to Netflix back in 2017.
'Jupiter's Legacy' received a series order on the streamer in 2018.
Season one dropped on Netflix last May to a mixed to negative critical reception.
Netflix has now given a series order to 'Supercrooks', which follows a group of villains planning a huge heist.
The live-action show in its early stages. It will live alongside an anime-style series based on the same material, which drops this year.
It was Mark Millar who announced the news of the shift at Netflix on Twitter.
He wrote: "I’m really proud of what the team achieved with 'Jupiter’s Legacy' and the amazing work everyone did on that origin season.
"I’ve been asked a lot about what we’re planning next with this world, and the answer is to see what the super-villains are getting up to."
He added: "we've made the tough call of letting our incredible cast out of their show commitment as we continue to thoughtfully develop all realms of the 'Jupiter's Legacy' saga."
Ending on a note of hope for fans of the show, he also said: "We're confident we'll return to it later and just want to say thanks to you guys for your continued support and to the cast and crew who made this look so great."
