The third wheel best part of 'Top Gear' and 'The Grand Tour' is set to host his own show all about the culinary arts.
With a current working title of '"Oh Cook!"' - a play on his "Oh C*ck!" catchphrase from 'The Grand Tour' - Amazon are hedging their bets on a successful James May cookery show to hit our screens at some point in the future.
According to Deadline, the series will consist of six episodes and production already began earlier this year before being halted. May has dabbled in food in the past, and the series - whenever we get to see it - plans to release a recipe book alongside it.
First gracing our screens with Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson on BBC's 'Top Gear' many moons ago, May and his two accomplices jumped ship to Amazon Prime for 'The Grand Tour' in 2016 before spawning his own trademark special with the production company.
His latest solo adventures saw him helm 'James May: Our Man in Japan' where he sampled the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun. A follow-up series was also due to be filmed in a different country before production was once again suspended.
If you think a James May cookery show is something quite left of field, you'd be mistaken. He's actually quite a dab-hand in the kitchen, presenting his own YouTube channel in association with Food Tribe, and here's a potential example of what's to come from the foodie in his new series.
