While we can all agree that 'Love / Hate' is undoubtedly one of the most talked-about original dramas produced by RTÉ in recent years, did it have a dog named Eddie?
Did it have a theme sung by Kelsey Grammer? Did it regularly feature call-in cameos from the likes of David Duchovny, Christopher Reeve, Linda Hamilton, Patti LuPone and Mel Brooks? Was it about a psychoanalyst who clearly had some psychological issues? No, no it did not.
All 'Love / Hate' had going for it was career-best performances by some of Ireland's acting community and a complex story, never before attempted in Irish television, about hubris and betrayal in the criminal underworld.
Anyways, the reason why we're comparing these two is that all episodes of 'Love / Hate' and all episodes of 'Frasier' are now available on RTÉ Player from this week, which means you can enjoy both of these excellent TV shows if you're a resident of Ireland and have access to the internet.
Which, by reading this very article, we're assuming you do.
