A brand new Sharon Horgan-produced series with an all-star Irish cast is heading our way in April.
Prepare yourselves for April, because there is so many new movies and TV shows coming our way. One series that we're fairly sure will hit all of the right notes with us is this new comedy starring Brian Gleenson and his brother Domhnall, 'Frank of Ireland'.
The series will see Brian lead the all-star Irish cast as Frank Marron, a 33-year-old man who's at the end of his tether with life. As his birthday arrives, his family makes him realise that he hasn't actually accomplished much in all those years. He's living at home with his mother, he's still friends with his ex-girlfriend, and he can't drive. Sounds like a lot of us out there...!
And so, it's only up to himself (and his loyal best friend) to figure out how he can grow up and become a real adult.
As well as the Gleeson brothers starring, we also see Sarah Greene from 'Normal People' and 'Dublin Murders' star as Áine, Frank's ex; mother Mary is played by Pom Boyd from 'Fate: The Winx Saga' and 'Rosie'; as well as appearances from Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Pat Shortt.
'Frank of Ireland' is produced by Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford's Merman, and is a co-production between Channel 4 and Amazon Studios. The series is also executive produced by Brian Gleeson, Domhnall Gleeson, and Michael Moloney.
Here's our first look at the series.
'Frank of Ireland' will be premiere on Channel 4 April 15.
