A new Netflix series that was filmed in Ireland and has several Irish stars will launch in 2019 - and the first official trailer for it debuted at Comic-Con last night.
'Nightflyers' was filmed at Troy Studios in Limerick and stars Brian F. O'Byrne and Eoin Macken as two of a team of eight scientists "who embark on an expedition to the edge of our solar system aboard The Nightflyer - a ship with a small tightknit crew and a reclusive captain -- in the hope of making contact with alien life. But when terrifying and violent events begin to take place they start to question each other -- and surviving the journey proves harder than anyone thought."
The 10-episode series was adapted from a George R. R. Martin novella and also stars the likes of Gretchen Mol (“Boardwalk Empire”), David Ajala (“Fast & Furious 6”), Sam Strike (“EastEnders”), Angus Sampson (“Fargo”) and Jodie Turner-Smith (“The Last Ship”).
