Filmed in front of a live studio audience, it's our first look at the upcoming Netflix sequel series.
Red and Kitty Forman are back in their iconic Wisconsin kitchen in our first look at 'That '90s Show' on Netflix.
Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will be reprising their roles as the good cop/bad cop parenting duo of Eric (Topher Grace) and Laurie (the late Lisa Robin Kelly, later portrayed by Christina Moore). The pair are also onboard the series as executive producers.
For the sequel series, however, it seems like Red and Kitty will be the only original cast members returning. None of the teen characters from the original series has signed up for the series which jumps two decades into the future. However, we wouldn't mind a Laura Prepon or Topher Grace cameo appearance as the Forman's next-door neighbours.
Here are the first look images of 'That '90s Show', featuring the Formans sitting in their newly-revamped kitchen, as well as that famous basement.
The synopsis and new cast for the return of the comedy series were released earlier this month. The series will have us join Red and Kitty during the summer of 1995. Their granddaughter Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting for the summer and bonds with a new generation of kids who will be played by Ashley Aufderheide ('Emergence'), Mace Coronel ('Colin in Black & White') and Reyn Doi ('Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar').
One question remains about the revival series - will the team try to recreate the opening credits? Here's hoping they steer well clear of that idea.
'That '90s Show' is due for release on Netflix later this year, consisting of 10 episodes.
