Although we reported on it about two months ago when David Fincher confirmed it, it's now official - Mindhunter is getting a second season.
Netflix announced Mindhunter's second season, but didn't give any details on when it would hit Netflix or what the series is about. Thankfully, David Fincher was good enough to give details on all this TWO MONTHS AGO, and confirmed that the second season will focus on the Atlanta Child Murders, which took place between 1979 and 1981.
Many believed that the second season would shift its focus to the BTK Killer, who was alluded to in the cold opens of a couple of episodes in the first season. Rader was only captured in 2005 and sentenced to ten consecutive life sentences for ten murders that occurred as far back as 1974 and went right up to 1991.
