Let's just hope not all of the jokes are in this trailer.
Our first proper look at Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as Iceland's Eurovision entrants Fire Saga has us grinning from ear to ear at how mad this movie looks. The 'Eurovision Song Contest' trailer sees the Eurovision pair come across Dan Stevens, Pierce Brosnan, and plenty of other previous Eurovision winners, with Graham Norton providing the commentary. We cannot wait.
Here's the official synopsis for the movie, according to Netflix:
When aspiring musicians Lars (Will Ferrell) and Sigrit (Rachel McAdams) are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for. Pierce Brosnan stars as Erick Erickssong - Icelandic musicians Lars Erickssong’s father and the most handsome man in Iceland!
The Netflix movie previously released the lead song from the comedy, entitled 'Volcano Man', which is just the right amount of cheesiness that we were expecting from Ferrell and the team behind 'Wedding Crashers'. Here's hoping the movie does the singing competition justice.
'Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga' lands on Netflix June 26.
