Exactly one month away from its premiere on Disney+, we've got a new look at the first spin-off series from 'The Mandalorian'.
Exactly how many episodes will there be for 'The Book of Boba Fett' on Disney+? Disney+ has revealed that there will be seven episodes of the upcoming series based within the 'Star Wars' universe.
Not only that, they've been generous enough to release a new teaser trailer for the series as well as some new-look posters of Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) for us to gaze at adoringly for the time being.
Here's the new teaser for the series, which depicts the famed bounty hunter looking to rule with "respect".
'The Book of Boba Fett' will only be the second live-action Disney+ series to hit our screens. Following the phenomenal success of both of the first two seasons of 'The Mandalorian', Disney and Lucasfilm went all-in on expanding the wealth of potential action/adventure content from the franchise, with many more series currently in the pipeline.
'The Book of Boba Fett' will pick up after the character's initial introduction in 'The Mandalorian' season two and is expected to deliver a "crime-boss territory" series, according to series co-creator Jon Favreau. He explained to Empire where the series picks up, following the character's series reveals in the post-credits scene at the end of season two.
He said: "There is a power vacuum because Jabba is gone. Jabba was clearly a very strong and imposing leader, who people were very scared of, and who seemed to rule with an iron fist. You pull somebody like that out of the ecosystem of Tatooine – and Hutt Space in general – and you have the opportunity that’s ripe in the gangster genre."
Promising a more "true character" than we've seen previously, director Robert Rodriguez teased that we'll see his "barbarian mode" be unleashed. And judging from the teaser above, it seems like it.
'The Book of Boba Fett' begins streaming on Disney+ on Wednesday, December 29.
