Fans of the dramedy will be getting one more rollercoaster season on Netflix.
The 'Dead to Me' season three will be the final entry in the murderous TV series. Season two only just arrived on Netflix this past May, reminding us all over again how frantic the main characters of Jen and Judy (Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini) can be. The first series was quite the hit when it arrived on Netflix in 2019, becoming one of its most-watched shows.
The final season news comes as Netflix announce a new partnership with creator Liz Feldman. Feldman, known for '2 Broke Girls', has brokered a brand new deal with the streamer, as she makes the move from CBS TV Studios over to Netflix. As part of the new deal, as well as bringing us a final conclusion to 'Dead to Me', she will also help create more original series and other projects as Netflix continues its journey to own more of its content.
Speaking in a statement on Monday, Feldman said: "From start to finish, 'Dead to Me' is exactly the show I wanted to make and it’s been an incredible gift. Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human.
"I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting 'Dead To Me' from day one, and I’m thrilled to continue our collaboration."
The comedic force of Applegate and Cardellini bouncing off on screen together - alongside James Marsden - is the biggest reason the series has become such a success. Well, alongside the various twists and turns of the plot (and the oh-so-creepy Shandy Adams), expect a dramatic 'Dead to Me' season three conclusion to arrive at some point in the future.
