It's coming up to the year anniversary of the release of 'Sex Education' season three and we couldn't be happier that production is underway for the next one. And there'll be a few more familiar faces joining the cast this time around.
When we left off last season, Maeve and Otis had finally admitted to their love for one another and had a big ole smoocheroo, Eric and Adam broke up after Eric's trip to Nigeria where he kissed somebody else, Jean has her baby surrounded by Otis, Ola, and Jakob but we're lead to believe the child might not be Jakob's, and Maeve is set to go to an Ivy League college over in the States.
And breathe. So, Dan Levy from 'Schitt's Creek' is joining the cast, or err, just Maeve over in the U.S. as one of her tutors, Thomas Molloy who's also a famous author. From 'Doctor Who', Ireland's own Thaddea Graham is also set to join Otis and the Moordale madness.
But there's a catch — Moordale Secondary is closing due to lack of funding, remember? Season four will therefore follow the teenagers at a new school called Cavendish Sixth Form College; a very 2022 school with outdoor yoga sessions and kids who are popular because of how lovely they are. Interesting.
Other additions to the cast include Marie Reuther from 'Kamikaze' and some fresh new faces; Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Reda Elazouar, Bella Maclean and Imani Yahshua.
Lots of our beloved 'Sex Educasation' actors are returning too, like Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, and Samantha Spiro.
Filming has already started in Wales and is set to run into 2023. We don't know about you, but we're buzzing for this Netflix show to return.
