A new trailer has dropped for the upcoming HBO Max series 'The Penguin' and Colin Farrell couldn't look and sound more different.

The Irish actor leads the cast as Oswald Cobblepot, better known as The Penguin, and his rise to power in the Gotham underworld in the wake of mob boss Carmine Falcone’s death.

It picks up the story directly after the end of Matt Reeves' 2022 film 'The Batman', which Farrell briefly appeared in as Cobblepot. Lauren LeFranc serves as showrunner and writer while Reeves returns as an executive producer of the spin-off series with Farrell is also on board as an executive producer.

Joining Farrell are Cristin Milioti ('How I Met Your Mother', 'The Wolf of Wall Street') as Carmine Falcone’s daughter Sofia, Michael Zegen ('The Marvellous Mrs Maisel') as Carmine’s son Alberto, and Clancy Brown ('Highlander', 'John Wick: Chapter 4') as Salvatore Maroni, one of Gotham’s former top gangsters.

'The Penguin' is set for a September premiere on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in Ireland.
