From 'Kin' to 'Treason', these two are quickly becoming the unlikely acting duo.
Ciarán Hinds and Charlie Cox will be back on screen together before the year is out, as Netflix has dropped fresh details and pictures of the two actors in their new thriller series, 'Treason'.
Cox leads the limited series as Adam Lawrence, an MI6 agent who gets tangled up in a messy love triangle between his wife - and a former flame who shows up out of nowhere from his past. Hinds stars as a mysterious man named Sir Martin Angelis, who might be a person who can shed some light on the main character's colourful past.
The first details about the series dropped earlier this week, giving us a peek at the 'Kin' stars being paired up once again for what looks to be another dramatic series.
'Treason' will be a five-part limited series and comes from the Oscar-nominated mind of 'Bridge of Spies' writer, Matt Charman. He's on board as the showrunner and executive producer, while Sarah O'Gorman ('The Witcher') and Louise Hooper ('The Sandman') shared directing duties.
Ciarán Hinds and Charlie Cox will be joined by a noteworthy cast including Olga Kurylenko ('Quantum of Solace'), Oona Chaplin ('Game of Thrones') and Tracy Ifeachor ('The Originals').
The official synopsis of the series from Netflix is as follows:
Trained and groomed by MI6, Adam Lawrence’s career seems set. But when the past catches up with him in the form of Kara, a Russian spy with whom he shares a complicated past, he is forced to question everything and everyone in his life. A triangular relationship forms between Kara, Adam and his wife, Maddy; three people who are trying to expose each other’s secrets, navigate political and diplomatic relationships, whilst hanging onto their personal lives, and those they love most.
There's no trailer for the series just yet, but expect some footage to drop very soon. A second season of RTÉ's 'Kin' was shot here during the summer, so expect more details about this in the new year.
Stream 'Treason' on Netflix from December 26.
