2019's runaway success 'After Life' has secured a second season on Netflix - here's what date it all kicks off again.
Ricky Gervais' comedy/drama 'After Life' won over audiences last year with its first six episodes which followed the life of down-and-out journalist Tony. Set in the small fictitious town of Tambury, we see the character struggle with his everyday life following his wife dying from cancer.
With Gervais' trademark wit and dark humour (as well as being just six short episodes), the idea was destined to get a second season as everyone seemed to be glued to the TV series.
Set to arrive on April 24th, six new episodes from the comedy writer will be making their way to the streaming platform - and we can't wait to see what happens next.
In the follow-up series, we'll see Tony try to become a better friend to those around him. Of course, this is a Ricky Gervais series, so we can expect various turbulent happenings along the way for his character.
Undoubtedly one of the highlights of series one of 'After Life' was the extremely strong supporting cast, which included the likes of Penelope Wilton, David Bradley, Joe Wilkinson, Roisin Conaty, and of course Ashley Jensen.
The second six-part offering will also see 'Downton Abbey' star Peter Egan, 'Bad Education' actor Ethan Lawrence, and Bill Ward from 'Coronation Street' join the ever-expanding cast list.
