He's heading back to comedy on the streaming platform.
The first-look pictures of Adam Sandler's next Netflix movie have emerged, with the actor pictured leading an all-star cast in a new comedy movie centred around that spooky event of the year, Halloween. 'Hubie Halloween' will see Sandler's character Hubie Dubois land himself in the middle of a murder case... which leads us to ask, is this just 'Murder Mystery' without Jennifer Anniston, and set during Halloween?
Anyway, the town of Salem, Massachusetts is the setting, and Sandler will be needing help from a HUGE range of supporting characters to help solve the case and find out what the hell went down. And what a cracking cast the movie has.
Joining in on the comedy movie will be Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Kevin James, Maya Rudolph, Tim Meadows, Colin Quinn, Kenan Thompson, Mikey Day, Melissa Villaseñor, Ray Liotta, Michael Chiklis, and Julie Bowen from 'Modern Family'. 'Stranger Things' star Noah Schnapp will also feature, as well as basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal.
Here are the first pictures to be released for 'Hubie Halloween', which we can expect a trailer for very soon.

The new comedy movie will be Adam Sandler's fifth Netflix original for the production company. Known for his past comedic efforts such as 'Happy Gilmore' and '50 First Dates', Sandler continued that streak by releasing three comedies on the platform before playing a much more serious role in 'Uncut Gems' in 2019 - a movie which was tipped for an Oscar nod. The comedy actor once said that if the movie didn't receive a nomination, he would make a movie "so bad on purpose". Maybe this is the one?
We'll have to wait and see when 'Hubie Halloween' arrives on Netflix October 7.
