*SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2 FOLLOW* Filming for the new season of 'The Umbrella Academy' has officially begun. Star of the series Elliot Page shared a picture on Instagram from the set confirming the news.

The third season of 'Umbrella Academy' got the green light back in November 2020.

Season 2 dropped last summer while the first season premiered on Netflix back in February 2019.

The series follows the Hargreeves siblings, who were adopted by an ambitious billionaire, and trained to be superheroes.

In the last season, their time travelling led to some messy consequences, but they also managed to save the world.

After returning to their own timeline, there was a cliffhanger ending.

The siblings were confronted with what appears to be an all-new Umbrella Academy, but now they're called the Sparrow Academy.

The series stars Page (Vanya), Tom Hopper (Luther), David Castañeda (Diego), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison), Robert Sheehan (Klaus) and Aidan Gallagher (Five).

Confirmed additions for season 3 are Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez and Cazzie David as the new Hargreeves or "Sparrows".

Justin H. Min (Ben), Colm Feore (Sir Reginald Hargreeves) and Ritu Arya (Lila) will also be back.

Page's post depicts an umbrella with a three and sparrow on top, on what appears to be the director's chair.

She captions it "Omg we’re back again ☂" as a callback to the Backstreet Boys song "Everybody", which featured on the soundtrack of season 2.
