There's a new horror anthology series in our midst that looks positively terrifying.
In our first look at 'Them', the trailer below depicts a black family, the Emorys, who are new residents in a predominantly white neighbourhood of Los Angeles in the '50s. It appears that LA isn't all that it was cracked up to be, and the family begin to feel threatened in their new home.
We're getting some serious Jordan Peele 'Us' vibes from the series, and with it being a horror anthology series, 'American Horror Story' also springs to mind.
The Emory family is made up of Lucky (Deborah Ayorinde from Netflix's 'Luke Cage'), Henry (Ashley Thomas from '24: Legacy' series), Ruby (Shahadi Wright Joseph from 'Us'), and Gracie (newcomer Melody Hurd).
From the 'Them' trailer we can also see Alison Pill (who starred in 'AHS: Cult') appear as a petrifying neighbour named Betty, and Australian actor Ryan Kwanten (from 'Home and Away' and 'True Blood') as George.
Lena Waithe ('Master of None', 'Queen & Slim') and Little Marvin will executive produce the series for Amazon Prime.
Here's the synopsis for the anthology series:
'Them' is a limited anthology series that explores terror in America. The first season, 1950s-set 'Covenant' centres around a Black family who move from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighbourhood during the period known as The Great Migration. The family’s idyllic home becomes ground zero where malevolent forces, next door and otherworldly, threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.

'Them' will premiere on Amazon Prime on Friday, April 9, and will be made up of 10 episodes.
