One of the best original series on Apple TV+ is returning for season 2 very soon.
'The Morning Show' is led by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, and won Apple a heap of awards at the Emmys, SAG Awards, and Critics Choice Awards.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the show's return since it debuted in late 2019.
The official synopsis for season 2 reads: "Picking up after the explosive events of season one, season two finds the Morning Show team emerging from the wreckage of Alex (Aniston) and Bradley’s (Witherspoon) actions, to a new UBA and a world in flux, where identity is everything and the chasm between who we present as and who we really are comes into play."
Aside from Aniston and Witherspoon, season 2 of 'The Morning Show' also sees the return of cast members Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, and Tom Irwin.
One of the most exciting new cast additions is Julianna Margulies as Laura Peterson, a UBA news anchor.
There will be a fresh Irish face joining the cast too in Ruairi O’Connor. He'll be playing Ty Fitzgerald, a smart and charismatic Youtube star.
One new cast members and characters include Greta Lee as Stella Bak, a tech world wunderkind who has joined the UBA executive team; Hasan Minhaj as Eric Nomani, a new member of the 'Morning Show' team; Holland Taylor as Cybil Richards, the savvy chairwoman of the UBA board; Tara Karsian as Gayle Berman, a news producer; and Valeria Golino as Paola xxx, a documentary filmmaker.
'The Morning Show' will return for its second season on Friday, September 17 on Apple TV+. The season will consist of ten episodes with a new episode airing weekly.
