The Netflix comedy caper packs in a hell of a lot of stars, including the return of 'Borat 2' star Maria Bakalova in her next major role.
Judd Apatow's 'The Bubble' finally sees the light of day. The trailer for the director's hotly-anticipated comedy features an all-star line-up doing a bunch of super crazy things on set.
Starring Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal, Karen Gillen, David Duchovney, Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Armisen, Rob Delaney, Kate McKinnon, Samson Kayo, Peter Serafinowicz, Donna Air, Vir Das, Maria Bakalova and Iris Apatow, this is one very stacked cast.
The premise of the film sees a group of actors attempt to film their new blockbuster dinosaur action movie ('Cliff Beasts 6') on location at the beginning of the pandemic. With nothing else to do but continue filming, the production encounters a number of setbacks, including the actors and crew going a bit stark raving mad.
According to inside sources, the comedy was reportedly inspired by the real-life production of the upcoming 'Jurassic World: Dominion', which sees the return of Laura Dern and Sam O'Neill. The film faced numerous pandemic-related delays that forced the cast to remain in the UK for quite some time.
The comedy was written and directed by Judd Apatow ('Knocked Up', 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin'), with Pam Brady ('Just Shoot Me', 'The Loop') also co-writing.
Naturally, with this being a breaking-the-fourth-wall type of film, it hits Netflix on April Fool's Day.
