Chace Crawford leads a promotional video for Liquid Death, and in doing so ends his fictional sustainability role with the water company.
Oh, The Deep, when will you ever learn? 'The Boys' season three got a teaser of sorts this week, with Chace Crawford's Supe tackling the topic of the harmful waste in our oceans.
What initially starts out as a semi-educational video, The Deep announces his new role as Chief Sustainability Associate for a real-life canned water company called Liquid Death. He reveals quite frightening statistics too, saying: "Scientists and some of the dolphins I've talked to, say that by 2050, plastic pollution will outweigh fish life pound for pound in our oceans."
The Deep then shotguns a can of the mountain water before lighting a plastic fire on the beach of all of the waste he's collected, essentially undoing all of the great work he and his little helpers have been doing for the ocean, thus creating even more pollution. These Supes sure aren't the brightest of beings.
Take a look at the video below.
Following the release of the tongue-in-cheek video, Liquid Death has, "effective immediately", retracted all of their ties with the character from 'The Boys' and all of the people at Vought International. Yikes, Homelander might not be happy with this quick turn of events.
This brief and sort-of teaser for 'The Boys' season three is the first look that we've had of any of the characters in action since the end of season two, which was released on Amazon Prime in 2020.
There's no concrete release date set for 'The Boys' season three yet, so it's likely we won't be seeing The Supes in action again until 2022. What we do know, however, is that there will be four new "superheroes" joining the ranks at Vought International. Alongside Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy, there will also be Sean Patrick Flanery as Gunpowder, Miles Gaston Villanueva as Supersonic, and Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk. A very unhinged event is also expected to take place, which has been lifted directly from the comic books on which the series is based on.
