March 2022 can't come quick enough - not only because of the extra Bank Holiday we'll permanently be getting but also because of the return of Lady Whistledown and all of her gossip.

Shonda Rhimes' 'Bridgerton' season two is entering marketing mode, and Netflix has kept fans ticking over by releasing a number of new images from the upcoming season.

The period drama will see a change of leads for season two, with Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page's characters stepping aside. While Dynevor's Phoebe will feature in a supporting role this time around, Page is currently not listed as a cast member for the new season (but we envision a guest appearance wouldn't go amiss).

The new images feature a first look at some of the characters from season one, including Jonathan Bailey's Anthony, Nicola Coughlan's Penelope, Claudia Jessie's Eloise and Golda Rosheuvel's Queen Charlotte (who is also getting a spin-off prequel series in the future) among many more other returning cast members.

The images also prominently feature new addition Simone Ashley ('Sex Education'), who will play Kate Sharma. Kate will play the leading actress of the series this time around, as a potential love interest for the oldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony. Also featured is Charithra Chandran, who will play Kate's younger sister, Edwina, in a picture with their pet corgi.

Here are the eight new images released ahead of 'Bridgerton' season two this March.

back in September during Netflix's 'TUDUM' event, the streaming service released a one-minute first-look clip featuring Anthony and Kate exchanging some hostile words with one another. Expect a full trailer to be released in the coming weeks.

Seasons three and four of the Shonda Rhimes production are currently in development.

'Bridgerton' season two arrives on Netflix on March 25, 2022.
