Hopper lives!

We were all nervous for a while there that Chief Jim Hopper, played by David Harbour, had died at the end of 'Stranger Things' season 3. But it looks like he survived that lab explosion in the final episode!

Mind you, it wasn't the first sign that the character may still be alive. A post credits scene for the finale revealed the Russians had an American in captivity inside a military base.

Plus people spotted Hopper's car during filming in Georgia.

Still, we are pumped that he'll be back. And we're also pumped to get a first look at 'Stranger Things' season 4.

It's a Valentine's gift from the sci fi Netflix series to the fans. And the teaser is aptly named 'From Russia With Love' - so romantic!

"We’re excited to officially confirm that production on ‘Stranger Things 4’ is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper!” the Duffer brothers wrote in a statement.

"Although it’s not all good news for our ‘American;’ he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other.

"Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything. Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime, pray for the American."

Netflix has not announced a release date for 'Stranger Things 4' just yet.

It's expected to drop either in late 2020 or sometime in 2021.
