Keeping in line with the theme of love, Valentine's Day was the day that the first teaser for the sophomore season dropped online.
February 14 was the day that 'Bridgerton' season two gifted the world with its teaser trailer, focussing on one of the big reveals from the first eight episodes.
Narrated by Lady Whistledown (the voice of Julie Andrews), the teaser shows her latest newsletter being read by some of the ensemble cast members, with what we expect will be the juiciest and hottest of tea for the ton.
Taking viewers through various balls, gown fittings, duels and plenty other middle/upper--class happenings (including a trip to the Royal Ascot racing event), the teaser also sheds light on some of the new cast members joining the upcoming season.
The final moment of the teaser shows Galway star Nicola Coughlan appearing as Penelope Featherington, who was revealed as Lady Whistledown during a climactic moment in season one.
Joining Britain's high society for season two will be new addition Simone Ashley ('Sex Education'), who will play Kate Sharma, a potential love interest for the oldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey). Also featured is Charithra Chandran, who will play Kate's younger sister, Edwina.
Phoebe Dynevor's Daphne Bridgerton will return, as will Claudia Jessie's Eloise, Golda Rosheuvel's Queen Charlotte, Luke Thompson's Benedict and Luke Newton's Colin.
"Dearest gentle reader, did you miss me? As the members of our ton questioned my identity and means, this author has been doing but one thing... Honing my skills.
"No, even better, I've been sharpening my knives, for all of you."
Here's the 'Bridgerton' season two teaser.
'Bridgerton' will continue on Netflix on March 25.
