In case you missed it, TV network Starz gave 'American Gods' the ax earlier this week. The news came just a week after the season 3 finale aired in the US.
The series is available on Amazon Prime worldwide, outside of America. 'American Gods' relates the build-up of a war between the Old Gods of mythology and our New Gods of technology.
Neil Gaiman is its creator and he gave fans renewed hope of late following news of the cancellation.
Responding to a fan's tweet, expressing his disappointment that the series was over, Gaiman answered: "It's definitely not dead.
"I'm grateful to the team at @Starz for the American Gods journey so far.
"Fremantle (who make AG) are committed to finishing the story that began in episode 1, and right now we're all just waiting to see which way forward is best, and who it'll be with."
Ricky Whittle, who plays Shadow Moon on the show, also assured fans via Twitter that 'American Gods' would get a conclusion.
He wrote: "This has been an amazing journey thus far and I am so grateful to my fellow cast and crew who have worked so hard on this award winning show.
"We have the best fans around the world and thank each of you for your passion and support, so you know that Neil Gaiman, Fremantle, myself and the cast are still committed to completing Neil Gaiman’s critically acclaimed story."
The series debuted in 2017. It stars Whittle, Emily Browning, Crispin Glover, Ian McShane, Bruce Langley and Yetide Badaki.
