No doubt when you watched the latest reboot of 'Unsolved Mysteries', you were a little disappointed that only one episode out of the six featured something beyond missing persons.
After all, the original series with Robert Stack in the '90s was famous for being absolutely terrifying and how it featured strenuous investigations of ghost sightings and stories, often debunking but some times acknowledging the possibility of paranormal activity.
The next batch, however, will feature at least one episode concerning ghosts. Sort of.
In a lengthy interview with Variety, executive producer Terry Dunn Meurer - who worked on the original series - confirmed the presence of at least one 'ghost' episode in the next batch. "But I’ll qualify that and say it’s an unusual ghost episode. That’s all I’ll say. It’s different. A bit different."
As well as this, Meurer also said that a cold case involving a John Doe suicide from 30 years ago - which featured on the original run - may be close to being solved, as a police department investigator recently went through the evidence and information that the 'Unsolved Mysteries' production team had on file.
"We gave him the information we had," Meurer said, "and this investigator has been working on it. He just recently, in the last couple of weeks, reached out and said, 'I think that we might have figured out who this man is.' My heart goes out to people who don’t know what has happened to their loved one. Even if they’ve passed away, they need to know."
No air date has been confirmed for the second batch, or 'Volume', of episodes, but it's expected to be later this year.
