*Season one spoilers ahead*

In anticipation of 'The Umbrella Academy' season two arriving this July, Netflix has given fans a teaser of what's to come for the family of superheroes. Last we saw of all seven Hargreeves siblings, they were jumping into one of Number Five's time portals after Vanya nearly brought on the Apocalypse. The next time we see our band of misfits however, they're going to have to adapt to a new time from the past.

As you can see in the pictures released below, cast members Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Emmy Raver-Lampman will all be returning, with Justin H. Min's Ben Hargreeves also receiving a much more expanded-upon role this time around.

Netflix has also revealed the first official synopsis of the new season, which reads:

Five warned his family (so, so many times) that using his powers to escape from Vanya’s 2019 apocalypse was risky. Well, he was right - the time jump scatters the siblings in time in and around Dallas, Texas. Over a three year period. Starting in 1960. Some, having been stuck in the past for years, have built lives and moved on, certain they’re the only ones who survived. Five is the last to land, smack dab in the middle of a nuclear doomsday, which - spoiler alert! - turns out is a result of the group’s disruption of the timeline (déjà vu, anyone?). Now the Umbrella Academy must find a way to reunite, figure out what caused doomsday, put a stop to it, and return to the present timeline to stop that other apocalypse. All while being hunted by a trio of ruthless Swedish assassins. But seriously, no pressure or anything.

The cast of 'The Umbrella Academy' recently revealed the date of when we can expect them to return to our screens by dancing on a Zoom call together, re-enacting that famous scene from season one. Season two wrapped filming late last year, and there will be 10 new episodes to look forward to.

'The Umbrella Academy' season two lands on Netflix July 31.
