Strap yourselves in for Netflix's next big documentary series binge, as it's about to land on the streaming platform next week.
Judging from the trailer of 'Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness', the documentary series is going to be essential viewing. Prepare to get your mind blown in much the same way as it was for 'FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened' - as this series is being brought to us from the same studio.
The series will tell the story of the stranger-than-fiction world of cat owners... as in not your usual house cats, but tigers and lions.
One man, in particular, will be the headliner of the series, a man who goes by the name of Joe Exotic. From what we can see of him in the trailer below, he is a polygamist, bulleted, gun-toting, country-singing guy, who is in charge of a zoo in Oklahoma. Phew.
Netflix describes the series as: "Charismatic but misguided, Joe and an unbelievable cast of characters including drug kingpins, conmen, and cult leaders all share a passion for big cats, and the status and attention their dangerous menageries garner. But things take a dark turn when Carole Baskin, an animal activist and owner of a big cat sanctuary, threatens to put them out of business, stoking a rivalry that eventually leads to Joe’s arrest for a murder-for-hire plot, and reveals a twisted tale where the only thing more dangerous than a big cat is its owner."
Here's the crazy trailer for the documentary series.
'Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness' will be available on Irish Netflix from Friday, March 20.
