A potential new idea from one of the biggest on demand services could be rolled out very soon.
Could a Netflix Top 50 be the future of the streamer? It's looking likely. According to reports, Netflix has begun trialing the new feature for some users.
Their Top 10 feature only debuted earlier this year, allowing users to see what the most popular titles in their country are. But what happens if you've watched everything already on offer there? Well, this new feature will be sure to sort that out for you.
A technology journalist, Saqib Shah, has posted on Twitter about the new Netflix expansion. He writes: "Netflix has confirmed to me that is testing a Top 50 list, expanding on the Top 10 it rolled out earlier this year. In keeping with that feature, there is a Top 50 row for all content on the home page, and separate lists for films and TV shows."

He continues that the aim that Netflix is attempting to achieve is: "To make it easier for users to find something to watch, when they want to watch it. Top 10 is a good resource for that, but ultimately limited seeing as NFLX has a massive, expanding library. Hence now some ppl are seeing a longer Top 50 row of top ranked content."
For the moment, this is only happening for a select amount of users. Shah was using the app via his PS4 console, and the service is not yet available to web or mobile users. Expect the Netflix Top 50 to be rolled out to everyone very soon.
