Charlie Cox, best-known for playing the titular character in Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ series by Netflix, has dropped some hints for what we can expect in season 3 of the show.

Only earlier this week, a teaser trailer, which you can view below, was dropped for the upcoming episodes.

The teaser sees him, bloody and battered, return to the confession box where he has often sorted out his conflicted feelings throughout the series. Annoyingly, there’s no release date given in the trailer, but Netflix has promised it will premiere in 2018.

The third season of Daredevil picks up after crossover mini-series ‘The Defenders’ — where Daredevil/Matt Murdock teamed with Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand (Finn Jones). The show left Daredevil presumed dead when he and former lover Elektra (Elodie Yung) were engulfed by the cave-in of Midland Circle. However, a post credits tease revealed Murdock survived the ordeal, albeit in rough shape, waking up being nursed back to health by nuns.

We spoke to Charlie for his new movie ‘King of Thieves’ and asked what we can expect from season 3 of the show.

“I’m very excited about it,” he said. “People know that we’ve taken some ideas and some themes from the ‘Born Again’ [comic] series, which of course is a fan favourite.

“The one thing I will say is that we do have a scene that is a homage to the corridor scene in the first season that people ask a lot about and I think we may have even outdone ourselves with this one. I’m very excited for the fans to see that.”

‘King of Thieves’ hits cinemas today.
