That's right, it's that time of the week again, when we tell you what to do with your lives.

But no, in all seriousness, there's a boatload of great things happening around the country this week, so we felt it our duty to tell you what's on, and where. But we know you're busy with work, and...other stuff, so we, along with the help of AIB, have condensed it down to the best of the best so you have time to read it, and go to them as well of course.

Dara O’Briain | Vicar Street / 27th-29th November

The big Bray man is back for his “Crowd Tickler” tour, and will be in Vicar Street for three nights this week, from Thursday through till Saturday.

If there’s a better comedy venue in Ireland than Vicar Street, we haven’t found it, so if you haven’t been before, now’s the time to fix that, and it ain’t half bad show to see either.

The Minutes | Odessa Club / 26th November

The rock three-piece are playing the Odessa on Wednesday, as part of the venues month-long celebration of its 10th anniversary.

Hosting eight gigs over the course of the month, The Minutes stand out as the showcase act, and with HotPress’ Deputy Editor Stuart Clark taking part in a Q&A, the night is one not to be missed by music-lovers.

Alladin | Grand Opera House / 29th November-18th January

Yep, it’s panto season again, but it wouldn’t be Christmas without going to one, so we’ve gone and put it on the list.

Opening on Saturday, and running till the middle of January, you’ve the guts of two months to catch all laughs, boos, stunning costumes and all the surprises of Aladdin’s cave. You might as well catch it this week and be one of the first, no time like the present and all that.

Raglans | Royal Theatre / 29th November

Sure it wouldn’t be a What’s On guide without mentioning the West, but Galway takes a back seat this time, because Raglans are playing in Castlebar on Saturday.

Having just finished the UK leg of the tour, the lads will be playing all over Ireland before finishing up Cork in December, but not before playing their second last show in The Ruby Room of the Royal Theatre.

SUBTITLE European Film Festival | Kilkenny / 24th-30th November

In its third year now, this up-and-coming film festival gives you the chance to see all the artsy films that didn’t make their way to your local cinema.

You probably guessed, what with the name and all, but yes, it’s a foreign film festival, so don’t forget to bring your glasses.
