Yesterday, we shared shocking footage of the frontman of pop-punk band The Story So Far drop-kicking a female fan off the stage because he didn't like the fact that he was taking a selfie.

The video was shared widely online and Parker Cannon, the offender in question, was denounced for his use of violence.

However, the 21-year-old fan who was on the receiving end of Cannon's boot has spoken out in defence of the band.

Becca Ilic told Alt Press: "It was all in good fun in my opinion, and it wasn’t even a hard kick, just like a push or nudge. I know that I shouldn’t have been up there for that long of time - especially with my phone - but I’m not hurt, and I don’t have any malicious feelings toward the band whatsoever."

She added: "I laughed when I fell into the crowd and I kept rocking out. I still love [frontman] Parker Cannon, the Story So Far, their music, their shows, everything more than ever. I understand what could happen at hardcore shows, and, honestly, I have been seriously injured before at different shows by the crowd, but I wasn’t injured by Parker!"

Despite the video being viewed over 1.6 million times in the last three days, the band have yet to make a statement on the matter.
